Lord of the Dance Tickets

Lord of the Dance Tickets & Tour Dates

Lord of the Dance is an Irish musical. Though it first premiered back in 1996, it’s still a staple production in the theater world. Some people refer to the producer, Michael Flatley, as Lord of the Dance because of his own part in the musical. This production is a mixture of Irish tap dance and ballet movements.

Despite the change of the members who were a part of the Lord of the Dance, theater buffs still love to see it performed live. If you want to see this magical musical in real time, you have a small window of time in February. Lord of the Dance is set to play on February 2nd and 3rd in Oostende, Belgium in the Kursaal Oostende.

Lord of the Dance Background

Lord of the Dance is the brain child of the Irish-American dancer, Michael Flatley. Flatley had previously worked on the musical, Riverdance, but wanted more creative power over the show. So, he set up his own theater show and handled the dance moves, storyline, and production. Ronan Hardiman was set with the task of music production. The musical was first performed in 1996 in Dublin.

The story told in the musical is both riveting and romantic. It tells of the main character’s fight against a villain, a dark lord who’s trying to take over Planet Ireland. During this time, another character, “Saoirse, the Irish Cailin,” fights against a wicked temptress for his love. In the end, all is well when “The Lord of the Dance” defeats the villain with the help of a little spirit.
