Ennio Morricone is a world-famous composer of Italian descent. His claim to fame lies in his work as a conductor for pieces that not only sound beautiful, but have done extremely well revenue-wise, tool. Since his start decades ago, Morricone has composed score after score for movies across the world, totaling over 500 records. His expertise in the area of composing has landed him several awards and recognitions on his lifelong journey in music.


Fans of Ennio’s work through movies or TV shows can see a live performance by him in one of two shows he’s prepared for 2019. He has a composed performance set in Oslo, Norway on January 28th. If you can’t make it to that one, he’s also ready to conduct on February 15th in Dublin, Ireland.


Ennio Morricone Background


Ennio Morricone was born in Rome, Italy in November of 1928. Morricone was exposed to music from a young age due to his father’s interest in it. His father was actually his first teacher and taught him how to play many instruments. Ennio was drawn to the trumpet, and so he went to a musical conservatory to learn how to do that. He graduated from his program earlier than expected and started to work in classical music composition and overall music arrangement.


He got his popularity through creating music for radio dramas and was quickly picked up for projects in the film industry. He quickly became more and more in demand as word about his competent flexibility in his field became more known.
