Metallica has been a trend-setter in the heavy-metal world and has only gone up throughout their years in music. Fans often describe them as ‘life changing’ and ‘visionaries for the rock world’ because of how they introduced their heavy metal songs to the music scene in 1981. Currently, Metallica is on their WorldWired Tour and have several dates for 2019. They start off on January 18th in Tulsa, Oklahoma and continue through several North American states. These include Arkansas, Ohio, Kansas, Kentucky, Texas, and Missouri, all the way until the final date on March 13th in Michigan. The European part of the tour will start on May 1st, in Lisbon (Portugal) and the band will visit Spain, Italy, Switzerland, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, England, Russia, Germany and numerous other countries.

      Metallica Background

Metallica first formed in 1981 and had many group members come and go. The current band members are James Hetfield (guitarist and vocalist), Lars Ulrich (drummer), Kirk Hammett (guitarist), and Robert Trujillo (bassist). Other memorable group members are Cliff Burton, Dave Mustaine and Jason Newstead.

Metallica started off with producing underground music hits and built a loyal fanbase right from the start. Their album, Master of Puppets, released in 1986 was their breakthrough moment, as it was described as one of the heaviest albums in the rock world. Their fifth album, Metallica, was the one that grabbed the attention of mainstream media and got the rest of the world hooked on their once very niche music. The band was even inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.

      Metallica’s Greatest Hits

Metallica is one of the few bands that’s won award after award, despite not being a mainstream band for long. Their song, “Until It Sleeps”, won the Best Hard Rock Music Video for MTV’s Music Awards. Other hits include “Nothing Else Matters”, “One”, “Enter Sandman” and “Master of Puppets”. They even won iHeart Radio’s award for the Best Rock Artist of the Year in 2018.

      03 June 2024 (Monday) 19:00

The Jonas Brothers are an American pop rock band formed in 2005. The group gained popularity mostly from their appearances on the Disney Channel television network.

They consist of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas. Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the Jonas Brothers moved to Little Falls, New Jersey in 2005, where they wrote their first record that made its Hollywood Recordsrelease. In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. They also starred as Kevin, Joe, and Nick Lucas, the band Lucas in their own Disney Channel series Jonas, which was rebranded as Jonas L.A. after the first season and cancelled after the second. The band released four albums: It's About Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007), A Little Bit Longer (2008), and Lines, Vines and Trying Times (2009).

In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. As of May 2009, before the release of Lines, Vines and Trying Times, they had sold over eight million albums worldwide. After a hiatus during 2010 and 2011 to pursue solo-projects, the group reconciled in 2012 to record a new album, which was cancelled following their break-up on October 29, 2013.

They have sold over 17 million albums worldwide. Six years following their split, the group reunited with the release of "Sucker" on March 1, 2019. The song became the 34th song in history to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and became the Jonas Brothers' first number one single on the chart.
