Massimiliano Antonio "Max" Cavalera & Igor Graziano Cavalera are Brazilian musicians and songwriters.

In 1984, Max and Iggor co-founded the acclaimed thrash metal band Sepultura. The band was a major force in the groove metal, thrash metal, and death metal genres during the late 1980s and early 1990s, with their later experiments drawing influence from alternative metal, world music, nu metal, hardcore punk, and industrial metal. Sepultura has also been credited as one of the second wave of thrash metal acts from the late 1980s and early-to-mid-1990s.

The band has had several lineup changes throughout its existence, with Max and Igor Cavalera departing in 1996 and 2006, respectively. Making Iggor the last original member of Sepultura to leave the band.

Max Cavalera currently plays in heavy metal bands Soulfly, Killer Be Killed & Cavalera Conspiracy, together with his brother Igor.

    • Primal Scream

      image

      Barrowland, Glasgow, United Kingdom

      17 December 2019 (Tuesday), 19:00

Primal Scream are a British rock band originally formed in Glasgow by Bobby Gillespie and Jim Beattie in 1982. Primal Scream's lineup consists of:

      Gillespie

      Andrew Innes (guitar)

      Martin Duffy (keyboards)

      Simone Butler (bass)

      Darrin Mooney (drums).

Barrie Cadogan has toured and recorded with the band since 2006 as a replacement after the departure of guitarist Robert Young.

The band had been performing live betweem 1982 and 1984, but their career did not take off until Gillespie left his position as drummer of The Jesus and Mary Chain. Primal Scream were a key part of the mid-1980s indie pop scene, but eventually moved away from their jangly sound, taking on more psychedelic and garage rock influences, before incorporating a dance music element to their sound with their 1991 album Screamadelica, which broke them into the mainstream. Their latest album Chaosmosis was released on 18 March 2016.
