Dieter Bohlen, born on 7 February 1954, often referred to as the "Pop-Titan" in the German-speaking press, first achieved fame as a member of pop duo Modern Talking in the 1980s, and has since produced numerous German and international artists. He is also a judge on casting shows Deutschland sucht den Superstar and Das Supertalent, having been present on all seasons of both shows.

Bohlen is a German musician, songwriter, record producer, and television personality.

In 1984 together with German schlager singer Thomas Anders, Bohlen founded the iconic pop duo Modern Talking. The band topped the German singles chart five times in a row with "Cheri, Cheri Lady", "Brother Louie", "You're My Heart, You're My Soul", "You Can Win If You Want" & "Atlantis Is Calling (S.O.S. For Love)", and were also successful in other European countries as well as in Asia and Africa. In 1987, the band split up and Bohlen founded his solo project Blue System, which he ended in1997.

He also continued writing and producing for other artists, including C.C.Catch - whom he discovered), Sheree - whom he signed when she was fifteen years old and boy band Touché.

In 1989, two songs written and produced by Dieter were sent to the Eurovision Song Contest: Nino de Angelo represented Germany with the song "Flieger" and reached place 14, while Thomas Forstner represented Austria with the song "Nur ein Lied" and reached place 5.

In 2010, he began working with schlager singer Andrea Berg. All of her albums produced by him (SchwerelosAbenteuerAtlantis, and Seelenbeben) topped the German and Austrian album charts.
